Recognizing Outstanding Leaders in Maryland
The MACPA has held a Women to Watch awards breakfast each year since 2014. Highlighting and celebrating the accomplishments of women in the profession, the event demonstrates to emerging leaders that success is not out of reach. Nominees are categorized into Emerging Leaders and Experienced Leaders.
Celebrating Newly Licensed CPAs
The Newly-Licensed CPA Swearing-In Ceremony is the marquee event to formally recognize and welcome new CPAs to the profession. Our annual event celebrates the accomplishments and certification of Maryland CPAs across the state. New CPAs will receive a formal invitation to join and organizations will be given the opportunity to be a part of the event to advocate for staff and the future of the profession.
Promoting and Protecting Maryland CPAs
For our legislative efforts to succeed, we need the voice and participation of our members.
Our biggest opportunity for member involvement in legislative advocacy is our annual CPA Day in Annapolis during Maryland’s legislative session. On CPA Day, we gather to assemble a policy agenda and then meet face-to-face with our delegates and senators to discuss the issues that impact our profession. CPA Day is free to attend for members and participants are eligible for 2 CPE credits.

A Coastal Conference Experience—Reimagined. | June 22-24, 2026
MACPA is thrilled to introduce the Mid-Atlantic Coastal Conference, in partnership with our neighboring state associations. Less than three hours from Baltimore, Virginia Beach, and Washington, D.C., this annual retreat brings together accounting and finance professionals from across the region for three days of learning, collaboration, and inspiration — all in a beautiful beachside setting.
For 2026, we’re reimagining the program to create fresh opportunities for learning, connection, idea-sharing, and practical takeaways.

MACPA Town Halls have evolved into The Quarterly Download — a reimagined, 90-minute virtual experience offering free CPE and focused, relevant content on what’s shaping the profession. It’s now part of The MACPA Download, a unified communications experience that also includes The Monthly Download — a concise, visually engaging e-newsletter designed to deliver essential updates with fewer emails and more clarity.
The CPA Event of the Year | December 4 & 11, 2026 (Half Days)
The CPA #FutureReady Summit is a two-part, half-day event. where CPAs learn from the most important voices in the profession, as well as the cutting-edge innovators pushing the profession forward. Topics include leadership, technology, trends, and emerging professional issues. This interactive event is the CPA event of the year.
Undergrads: Jumpstart Your Career
At the Student Leadership Academy, participants will receive a unique orientation to the CPA profession, network with leaders in the profession, and experience an in-depth look at their unique skills and strengths.
