Director of Finance
Want to join a growing non-profit organization dedicated to the science and technology of decision making? INFORMS is looking for a Director of Finance to join our staff leadership team. INFORMS is a 50-person staff team located in Catonsville, MD. INFORMS is a hybrid working environment with two days in the office but will accept applications from those who request a fully remote position. Preference may be given to a local candidate.
The Director of Finance will have responsibility for INFORMS finances, including approximately a $13M annual operating budget and $20M portfolio. These responsibilities include financial policies, financial strategy, controls, reporting systems, and managing the general accounting functions including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
This position reports to the Executive Director, serves as a member of the staff Leadership team, and management of the finance team. This is both a leadership and a hands-on position that focuses on driving efficiencies in technologies, policies and processes within the finance department and ensures the data integrity of the financial management systems.

The Director of Finance will have 7-10 years progressive finance, supervisory experience, including but not limited to accounting, budgeting, internal controls, reporting, and financial management systems. Must be able to make actionable recommendations to executive leadership. Familiarity with ERP system, data-base structure..

Director, Financial Information Systems
The purpose of this position is to strategically plan for and continuously develop and direct all financial information technology for ASHA (The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and its four affiliated entities.
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association requires all new employees to present proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when they start work. Currently, “fully vaccinated” is defined as someone that has received both doses of the Pfizer/Moderna COVID-19 vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine 14 days or more before they begin work. Salary Range (Non-Negotiable): $134,628 – $149,587
Description
The purpose of this position is to strategically plan for and continuously develop and direct all financial information technology for ASHA and its four affiliated entities. The incumbent is responsible for the planning, design, testing, documentation, and implementation of financial information systems to meet business strategies, internal control, and user requirements. The incumbent evaluates business systems and incorporates best practices into system development and documentation ensures consistent practices are used throughout ASHA to maintain system integrity and operational adherence to financial control procedures; leads the development and reporting of performance metrics in order to measure productivity and ensure timely provision of member services; and provides high-level expertise related to financial reporting; regulatory and tax compliance; completion of annual external audit, member dues renewal, and revenue recognition. Total revenue of ASHA and its affiliates exceeds $74 million.
