Support Our Profession at the Policy Level

The PAC works toward progressive outcomes on legislative issues affecting CPAs, educates legislators about matters that are important to the CPA profession, and keeps MACPA members informed. Your contribution will help ensure Maryland CPAs have influence in Annapolis and build a vibrant future for the CPA profession.

Issues we are fighting for and against

Through contributions, PAC supports legislators from both parties in order to create real change and improve the profession for accounting professionals in Maryland & beyond.

SUPPORT
  • Retain contributory negligence rule: defeat efforts to legislate comparative negligence
  • Proper funding for the Comptroller’s office to retain their current team and hire qualified personnel
  • Amending the Accountancy Act to enhance mobility for CPAs licensed in other states
AGAINST
  • Sales tax on professional services, including those provided by CPAs

Your contribution is one of the easiest and most effective ways to get involved.

Help us to support legislators from both parties and maintain an influential presence in Annapolis. Together, we make the greatest impact.
