New education requirements for Maryland’s future CPAs

ExamThe rules have changed a bit for Maryland students who hope to one day sit for the CPA exam.

Maryland’s State Board of Public Accountancy has enacted a number of changes to the educational requirements that CPA candidates must fulfill before taking the exam. The changes are expected to take effect on Jan. 1, 2008, and the State Board will begin accepting applications filed under the provisions on Jan. 2, 2008.
