CPA: Where trust meets expertise
A new initiative is underway for the profession: the CPA Trust campaign.
This national effort is designed to raise awareness of the value CPAs deliver every day and to strengthen how the profession is understood across business, communities and the broader public. The campaign highlights what sets CPAs apart: deep expertise, high standards, and a foundation of trust built through licensing, ethics and oversight.
Developed by the American Institute of CPAs in collaboration with the MACPA and other state CPA societies, CPA Trust reflects input from across the
profession and a shared commitment to telling a stronger, more unified story.

This campaign is not just about visibility — it’s about participation and local amplification. For the past two years, the MACPA has been interviewing members in an effort to change the narrative surrounding the profession. The goal is to get CPAs to talk less about what they do and more about why they do it.
The result is "The Purpose of the CPA," a series of short videos that help strengthen the CPA Trust message.
