CPA: Where trust meets expertise

National campaign underway to elevate the profession — together

A new initiative is underway for the profession: the CPA Trust campaign.

This national effort is designed to raise awareness of the value CPAs deliver every day and to strengthen how the profession is understood across business, communities and the broader public. The campaign highlights what sets CPAs apart: deep expertise, high standards, and a foundation of trust built through licensing, ethics and oversight.

Built for — and powered by — the profession

Developed by the American Institute of CPAs in collaboration with the MACPA and other state CPA societies, CPA Trust reflects input from across the
profession and a shared commitment to telling a stronger, more unified story.

The campaign is designed to reach audiences at scale through:

  • A national commercial across business and news programming.
  • Digital and social storytelling featuring real CPA impact.
  • A dedicated website, TrustedCPA.org, showcasing the profession’s value and reach.

Together, these efforts reinforce a simple but powerful idea: CPAs are trusted partners for what matters most.

Watch, share, and help bring the story to life in your community

This campaign is not just about visibility — it’s about participation and local amplification. By sharing campaign content on social media, you help strengthen recognition of the profession and expand its impact. Ways to help include reposting social content from AICPA, sharing a link to urge others to the view the commercial at TrustedCPA.org, or posting about what a national ad campaign about CPAs means to you.

MACPA's 'Purpose of the CPA' strengthens the message

For the past two years, the MACPA has been interviewing members in an effort to change the narrative surrounding the profession. The goal is to get CPAs to talk less about what they do and more about why they do it.

The result is "The Purpose of the CPA," a series of short videos that help strengthen the CPA Trust message.

The MACPA has compiled some of the best 'Purpose of the CPA' clips into a compilation video that asks a powerful, thought-provoking question: Why are you a CPA? Watch the video here.
