Five Maryland accounting firms have been included on Accounting Today’s annual lists of the best firms to work for.

Accounting Today works with Best Companies Group to compile the annual lists, which take on added significance given the profession's ongoing talent shortage, rapidly advancing technology, and the influence of private equity on firm structure. The lists prioritize "trust, flexibility, a strong sense of belonging, and a healthy dose of fun in their firms."

"All those factors are intertwined," Paige Hagy writes for Accounting Today, "creating positive feedback loops that allow firms and employees to support each other and build mutually reinforcing relationships."
