A record $56,000 in academic scholarships has been awarded among 31 accounting students at universities and colleges throughout Maryland as part of the MACPA Foundation's 2024 scholarship program.
The numbers are up from $52,000 awarded to a total of 29 recipients in 2023.
"We are thrilled to be able to award more scholarship dollars than ever to this year's roster of talented future accounting and finance professionals," said MACPA Executive Director Rebekah Olson, CPA. "Juggling the financial obligations of earning an advanced degree is more complicated than ever, and the MACPA Foundation is proud to do our part to ease those obligations and help pave the way into our profession for a growing number of Maryland students."
