View Bio

In this session, Littler Mendelson, P.C. attorney Brad Tobias will discuss recent legislation enacted by the Maryland General Assembly which voids non-compete and conflict of interest provisions in employment contracts for certain veterinary practitioners and veterinary technicians, and bans or severely restricts such provisions for healthcare professionals. Brad will discuss the implications of this legislation for employers in the healthcare and veterinary industry, and also discuss the general landscape of the law of non-compete and non-solicit agreements in Maryland. Maryland is among an ever-expanding list of local jurisdictions which, in recent years, have moved to limit non-competes, and we will discuss other trends in this area of law. Join us to understand how these developments shape the future of employment agreements in Maryland.
