The Women to Watch awards highlight the accomplishments of women in the profession, and demonstrate to emerging female leaders that success is not out of reach. 

To complete your nomination, please fill out the form and provide supporting evidence of your contributions to our profession and your community. Documentation should include a letter describing why the nominee should be considered. In addition, a résumé and letters of support are not required, but strongly recommended. Please also provide a recent headshot.

Emerging Leaders – Emerging Leaders are women who are up-and-coming stars in their organizations. Women who demonstrate leadership and contribute to the profession through community service and implementation of impactful and unique initiatives.

Experienced Leaders – Experienced Leaders are women who have established their roles as leaders in their organizations by advancing to the highest levels of management or ownership, and by mentoring those following in their footsteps, creating a diverse legacy within the profession.

Winners will be selected by a special MACPA task force of past winners and MACPA’s volunteer leaders. All nominees will be recognized and winners announced at the 2024 Women to Watch Awards Ceremony on September 26, 2024.

All nominations are due by July 15, 2024. All nominees must be a Certified Public Accountant and a member of MACPA.

EMERGING LEADERS are those women who are up-and-coming stars in their organizations. While every item is not required for consideration, nominees will be judged on the following criteria:

*Public and/or community service 

*Demonstration of leadership 

*Contribution to the profession 

*Supporting diversity and inclusion within the profession 

*Creation and implementation of unique initiative(s) 

*Involvement with alma mater or other local colleges and universities

EXPERIENCED LEADERS are those who have established their roles as leaders in their organizations by advancing to the highest levels of management or ownership, and by mentoring those following in their footsteps.

*Authorship of articles

*Major or unique contribution to the profession

*Public and/or community service

*Mentoring other professionals (*mostly heavily weighted item)

*Building a diverse legacy within the profession

*Improvement to the workplace
