So long, tax season … hello, bargains!

Congratulations, tax pros! You’ve made it through another hectic busy season, and you’ve done so (largely) unscathed. Time to enjoy a bunch of hard-earned freebies, courtesy of a grateful nation.

Forbes tax columnist Kelly Phillips Erb offers this list of end-of-tax-season promotions from businesses throughout the country. Some of my favorites:

  • From Boston Market: On April 18 only, a half chicken individual meal with two sides, cornbread, a regular beverage and cookie for $10.40. (Get it?)
  • From Hard Rock Cafe: Willing to sing for your supper? At select locations, you’ll get a free Local Legendary Burger if you grab the mic and sing a song on the cafe stage.
  • Royal Caribbean: Book a new individual cruise through April 18 and Royal Caribbean will pay your cruise taxes, fees and port expenses — plus, you'll get 50 percent off a second booking. Restrictions apply, because of course they do.
  • Office Depot: They’re offering an online coupon for free bulk bin shredding through April 23. It’s good at any Office Depot or OfficeMax store.

Here are a bunch of other Tax Day deals, courtesy of Huffington Post. (Be sure to ignore the discounts from Liberty Tax, H&R Block, and the like.)

Closer to home, here are some Tax Day deals in the Maryland / Virginia / D.C. region, courtesy of WTOP. My favorite: A free select draught at World of Beer taverns in Maryland.

Find your favorite deal, CPAs, and enjoy — you’ve earned it.
