Rob is a Managing Member and one of the founders of Paradigm Forensics, LLC. During his many years of experience, he has employed his technical skills for creative problem solving in business valuation consulting, forensic accounting, fraud investigations and disputes. Furthermore, Rob has provided expert witness services in federal and state courts. He is an adjunct faculty member teaching graduate courses at universities in the Baltimore Metropolitan area and is also a faculty member for the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts where he teaches the CVA Credentialing Course.
Rob’s vast experience includes litigation consulting and expert witness services in arbitration, mediation, collaborative and other litigation contexts. He also has expertise in business valuation consulting for a diverse clientele in numerous industries for divorce, stockholder actions, economic damages, buy‐sell agreements, and other purposes. Additionally, he performs exit/transition planning services for business owners looking to sell or transition their company. Finally, Rob provides reliable forensic accounting/fraud investigation services to his clients.
This session will cover the topics tax professionals should broach with their clients to best position them for the protection of their assets in the event of a divorce. This includes the ownership/title of assets, commingling concerns, as well as the Maryland requirements for the valuation and tracing of assets to pre-marital sources. There will also be a discussion of issues that have arisen in divorces where assets were not properly protected.
