MACPA Board and Foundation Board of Directors Nomination Form
The Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) is always looking for passionate leaders who want to give back and make a difference in our community through Board service. We are accepting nominations through Wednesday, October 15 for open positions on the MACPA Board of Directors and the MACPA Foundation Board of Directors. You can nominate a colleague—or yourself—for this unique opportunity to contribute your ideas, experience, and leadership to help shape the CPA-led accounting profession in Maryland.

MACPA Board of Directors
- Scope: Guides vision, strategy, and policy for the Association
- Term: Serves a two-year term, beginning in July.
- Meetings: Four times annually (three in person, one virtual) – attendance at 75% of meetings is required
- Event Participation: Participate in MACPA signature events as much as possible (CPA Day, Annual Meeting, Women to Watch, Swearing-In Ceremony, etc.)
- Financial Commitment: In striving to have 100% participation, we ask members to support the MACPA Foundation and the MACPA PAC annually through a personal financial contribution. There is no minimum requirement; participation is all that is needed. Participate in fundraising efforts for both the MACPA Foundation and PAC by identifying potential donors, making introductions for the MACPA team, and supporting fundraising events.
MACPA Foundation Board of Directors
- Scope: Oversees workforce development, student recruitment, scholarships, DEI&B efforts, and fundraising
- Term: Serves a two-year term, beginning in July.
- Meetings: Four times annually (three in person, one virtual) – attendance at 75% of meetings is required
- Event/Program Participation: Must attend or participate in at least three MACPA Foundation events/programs (MACPA Mentor Program, Fairway to the Future Golf Outing, Women to Watch, Swearing-In Ceremony, Student Leadership Academy, etc.)
- Financial Commitment: Support the MACPA Foundation annually through a personal financial contribution. Participate in fundraising efforts for the MACPA Foundation by identifying potential donors, making introductions for the MAPCA team, and supporting fundraising events.
