Tom is one of the most influential leaders in the Accounting Profession. He has been named the Second Most Influential Person in Accounting since 2011 by Accounting Today Magazine (His fifteenth year on the Top 100). He was also one of the first five thought leaders inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame (2015) by CPA Practice Advisor.

He is a graduate of Loyola College (B.A. in Accounting) and has a Master’s in Finance (Real Estate) from Johns Hopkins University. He also obtained the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) certification and the Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the AICPA.
With over 20 years of experience in the audit and attest field, Tricia is the Director of
Internal Audit for Frederick County Government which includes an internal audit role for
not only the Government entity but also Frederick County Public Schools and Frederick
Community College. Tricia works with each entity annually to formulate a fluid risk
assessment, administer hotline issues and manage all internal audits throughout the
three entities. Prior to her experience with Frederick County, Tricia was a Senior
Manager with the national firm CohnReznick for 13 years with expertise in the fields of
state and local government, affordable housing, real estate, development, and
construction and continues to work part-time in the affordable housing realm. She
prides herself in leadership and learning within the profession which has brought her to
teaching for the Maryland Association of CPAs Business Learning Institute. In 2012
Tricia was recognized by Baltimore SmartCEO magazine as one of Baltimore’s top
accountants and in both 2016 and 2017 recognized as one of MACPAs Women to
Watch experienced leaders. In 2020, Tricia was recognized as one of Maryland’s Top
100 Women by the Daily Record. Tricia also serves as a board member to the Maryland
Association of CPAs and the Mental Health Association of Frederick County.
Arthur Joseph Werner, J.D., M.S. (Taxation)
Arthur Joseph Werner, JD, MS (Taxation), is the president and is a shareholder in the lecture firm of Werner-Rocca Seminars, Ltd. Mr. Werner’s lecture topic specialties include business, tax, financial and estate planning for high net worth individuals.
In addition, Mr. Werner is a former adjunct professor of taxation in the Master of Science in Taxation program at the Philadelphia University.
Mr. Werner received his B.S. in Accounting and his M.S. in Taxation from Widener University. He holds a J.D. in Law from the Delaware Law School. Mr. Werner lectures extensively in the areas of Estate Planning, Financial Planning, and Estate and Gift Taxation to Certified Public Accountants and Financial Planners and has presented more than 3000 eight-hour seminars over the past twenty-five years as well as numerous webinars and video presentations. Mr. Werner has been rated as having the highest speaker knowledge in his home state of Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, was awarded the AICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award in the State of Nevada, the Florida Institute of CPAs Outstanding Discussion Leader Award, and the South Carolina Association of CPAs Outstanding Discussion Leader Award.
Daniel W. Bradley, CPA
Altoona, Pennsylvania
Dan Bradley is a principal with the regional certified public accounting firm of Young, Oakes, Brown & Co. P.C. in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He has extensive experience in performing audits of for-profit as well as governmental and not-for-profit organizations subject to the Single Audit Act and OMB Circular A-133. In addition, he has extensive experience dealing with entities (governmental units, not-for-profit organizations, and for-profit organizations) subject to the requirements of Government Auditing Standards. Dan holds a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with highest distinction.
Mr. Bradley is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and the Institute of Management Accountants. He is also a long time member of the PICPA’s Local Government Accounting and Auditing Committee. As of June 1, 2007, Mr. Bradley was elected to the PICPA’s Ethics Committee. Mr. Bradley has also served as past president of his IMA chapter, as well as serving as a member of the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Economy League. Mr. Bradley was a past President of the Altoona Chapter of the American Business Club as well as being a member of his local March of Dimes board.
In addition, Mr. Bradley has previously been an adjunct associate professor at Saint Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania where he is a past recipient of the Continuing Education’s Instructor of the Year Award. Mr. Bradley has been a frequent speaker and panelist on various governmental and not-for-profit programs for the AICPA, numerous state societies, the St. Francis College’s CPE Department, and numerous local entities. Mr. Bradley is a multi-year recipient of the AICPA’s Outstanding Facilitator Award.
The MACPA Beach Retreat is held every year in Ocean City, MD. Members are encouraged to bring families and make Beach Retreat part of a working vacation. Multiple courses are offered every day of the retreat, and participants are invited to take as many (or few) sessions as they like.
